'Research is the bedrock of creativity' writes Veronica Simpson in the latest edition of Blueprint.
The development of a Work / Learn / Live / Play Chassis has emerged from practice-wide research and development in our London Studios which draws on the studio’s extensive experience and collegiate design culture. This work is featured in an article entitled Knowledge Economy in issue 347 of Blueprint Magazine which explores the interrelation between research and creativity in architecture.
The R+D design proposals by Tom Alexander and his colleagues comprise two adjoining towers – each with a variety of spaces and purposes – and works off a volumetric leasing model rather than a cost based on floorspace.
