News > OAS Awards Shortlisting

12 April 2019

We are delighted that two of our projects have been shortlisted for the 2019 OAS Development Awards, following on from last year where Verde SW1 was named Best West End Refurbishment in the 2018 awards.

Our recently completed workplace refurbishment Riverscape at 10 Queen Street Place in London, has been shortlisted for Best City Refurbishment/Regeneration. The Steinmetz Building in Granta Park in Cambridge, is up for the Best Scheme under 35,000 sqft (Outside London).

The refurbishment of Riverscape delivers 100,000 sqft of Grade A office space along with a transformed reception, a renewed roof terrace with river views and comprehensive new cycle, shower and changing facilties. The office space has been refreshed with carefully considered areas of exposed waffle slab and services lend patina, character and variation to the large floorplates. 65% of the vacant office space was pre-let during construction, which was completed with the building partially occupied.

In Cambridge, the Steinmetz which has been slightly extended, providing for a range of spatial uses including bio-chemisty and pharmacology. The main entrance, toilet cores and vertical circulation have all been upgraded, and the roof-top plant area has been redesigned with new cladding.

For further information on these projects please get in touch with Luke Schuberth, Daniel WintersAndro Monzon or Beatriz Barragan.
