News > 2019 WAN Awards

17 October 2019

The World Architecture News Awards (WAN Awards) programme is the largest, most diverse and foremost architectural awards programme in the world, and is now in its eleventh year.  Each year, it invites entries from architectural practices from across the globe to compete in over 30 categories, and our very own international architect Bob Fry is honoured to have been on the Jury for this event over many years.

Representaion in the shortlisted entries is genuinely international with 30% of the finalists coming from the Americas, 38% from Australasia, 16% and 3% from Europe and the Middle East respectovely with the UK making up the final 13%.

For the 2019 Awards Bob has been asked to judge in six separate categories, including:

Small Spaces
Mixed Use
Future Projects - Mixed Use
Best Use of Technology
Rising Star / Emerging Practice of the Year
Architect / Practice of the Year

The preliminary judging has now been completed and the selected groups of judges in each category will meet for a live Judging Day on the morning of Thursday 24th October at the Courthouse Hotel in Shoreditch, London to decide on the winners.

The awards presentation will take place that evening.
