Located close to the proposed new International Financial Centre on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, the Government’s future symbol of Turkey’ position in the global economy, the Nidakule Atasehir development is a result of a revenue sharing partnership with governmental organisations Toki and Emlak Konut.
The overall development consists of two Class A office buildings, Nidakule Atasehir Kuzey and Guney. Kuzey, the larger scheme, has 31 floors above ground; Guney, the smaller, has 16 floors above ground. Both sit on significant podium structures in response to the zoning requirements for each site.
Nidakule Atasehir Guney is the smaller development at 45,000sqm incorporating a highly efficient central core and providing high quality, flexible office space.
This scheme applies the same architectural approach to the sister Kuzey building - a simple and efficient form, a sense of proportion and an emphasis on high quality details and materials.
The podium elevation is an important street façade and marks the main entrance to the scheme. A series of simple bays creates a suitable scale and rhythm to the main approach. The podium provides meeting rooms, conference centre, restaurants and fitness centre as part of the total workplace environment. Parking is provided in the basement levels.
Landscape design is an important part of the scheme and is used as the ‘fifth façade’ on top of the podium to create an urban garden for the benefit of the office users and within a courtyard space.
The project is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification.
