Bank headquarters competition design comprising masterplan and three buildings in central Moscow, totalling approximately 300,000sqft of workplace and tenant amenity. The site is historically significant, set in and retaining the original printing factory and journalists’ office campus for the Pravda newspaper group.
The design narrative was created by blending the two urban grids that meet across the site. The overlap sets up the dynamic geometry for the public realm, plot locations and building forms.
The three buildings to the north form the bank’s HQ, the prow form overlooking and becoming a landmark on one of Moscow’s urban ring roads. The public realm was setting a new standard for Moscow, with social working and resting pavilions set in a pedestrian-focused sequence of plazas.
