Designing for Heritage
The courtyard at the heart of The Royal Exchange in the City of London has been fully restored further to our earlier refurbishment and extension of the Grade I Listed building in the early 1990s.
New glazed retail units occupied by many well-known luxury brands sit within the existing colonnade, and a mezzanine floor inserted above and within the arches circumnavigates the courtyard.
The four quadrants of the ambulatory are separated by the main cardinal entrances, with each quadrant accommodating four retail units.
At the centre of the elegant covered courtyard is the stylish Grand Cafe and Bar, and further restaurants and bars surround the courtyard at mezzanine level.
