Aukett Swanke is ISO14001:2015 registered, therefore sustainability is essential to our design philosophy and studio ethos.

It is an attitude of mind that is embedded within our thinking from the beginning of any project. 









We design innovative solutions and focus on:

  • incorporating passive design principles that mitigate solar gain and heat loss from the outset
  • reducing energy demand through active and passive renewable energy sources
  • the use of energy and resource efficient materials, methods, and forms
  • the re-use of existing buildings and materials and flexibility for future change
  • and importantly the careful consideration of the experience and well-being of the end user in our buildings

We design buildings that are adaptable and allow for the easy introduction of new technology and ways of working, including major changes of use – an important part of achieving a sustainable future.

The results speak for themselves, with many of our projects achieving highly sustainable ratings and awards.
