The building was constructed in the 1990s at the intersection of Davies Street and Mount Street, overlooking Berkeley Square. The site’s prominent position within Mayfair provides the perfect location for Phillips as one of the world leaders in the auctioning of art.

The first floor level was removed across the Davies Street frontage and onto Berkeley Square with new facades in bronze powder coated aluminium that is sympathetic to the existing building and the Mayfair conservation area.

Above the Auction House, the sixth and seventh floors were reconfigured to provide additional office space with external terraces looking out across the top of the tree canopies in Berkeley Square.

The double height glazing creates a dramatic gallery space, flooding it with natural light and providing an impressive showcase for the art on display. There is an auction room at ground and basement, and more gallery space at third floor.
