Collective Team

We produced a concise user brief, with clear workplace design and operational aspirations which we used to test the quality and value of our design solutions.

This was accomplished via detailed engagement and collaboration with a project design steering committee;  operational stakeholders;  interviews with 50 business stakeholders;  workshops with representative staff, and liaison with branding and internal communications.

This high quality, flexible workplace has no private offices. 12 floors of totally open plan workspace are supported with a client business centre, presentation suite, quiet rooms, extensive breakout facilities, coffee lounge and staff restaurant.

2300 workstations and alternative work settings accommodate a mobile population of 4500 staff.

The project achieved a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating by utilising new technology such as tri-generation to cut carbon emissions, an active chilled beam air conditioning system, high performance glazing, and daylight lighting controls.

Our services for this project included Building Appraisal, Tenant Modifications, Assistance to Agreement to Purchase, Base Building Monitoring, Staff Communications, Cat A and B Interior Design.

At completion, the high performance workplace was awarded a British Council for Offices Award for Best Corporate Workplace, and was winner of the RICS London Awards for Sustainability Project of the Year
